Family apartments

Normal standard apartments with bathroom, sleeping alcove, sitting room and a mini kitchen, each apartment have an own entrance from the porch. These apartments house 6 people each, 4 in the sleeping alcove and two people in the sleeping couch. They are provided with coushins and covers. Beedsheats you can rent from us or bring yourself (this goes for the rooms and cabins as well).


Rooms

We also offer simple standard rooms. The rooms have warm and cold water, toilets in the hallway and free showers in our locker–rooms. We have rooms from 2 till 6 beds. In this building there’s also a kitchen in which you can make your own meal if wanted,




Cabins

Our best cabin is called “Skinnbua” and is a remodelled three stories store house which houses 5 people (two in a double bed). There is a kitchen, a furnace, a room with a sink and toilet, and an own room for the shower.

We also have cabins with easy standard, four beds, a kitchen top and refrigerator and 30 meter to toilets and showers.


Lavvo

Right by our base lays our lavvo-camp.

Here we have a big lavvo with tables and benches and a cosy fireplace in the middle. This we use both for serving big groups and for overnight stays.

In addition we have 2-3 smaller lavvos with wooden floor, where we can accommodate 12 people in each. If you chose to stay in our lavvo-camp you get a touch of the “primitive” outdoors, but can yet stay very comfortable seeing it is just 100 meters to the nearest toilets and showers.

Remember your sleeping bag and “outdoor mattress”.

Wilderness-camp

Our wilderness-camp is situated on the other side of the Sjoa-river, but within a 15 minute walking distance from the base (3 minutes by car). The location is perfect, right in between the Sjoa river and the stream Sagåa. Here you’ll find three lavvos, a “gapahuk” , a large barbecue and fireplace with a rooftop. The sanitary-facilities are somewhat simple, being an outdoor toilet, but you do have the uppertunity to come and take a shower here at the base anytime. A carpark is 2 min away from the camp.

This suites groups that would like to be by themselves without beeing disturbed or disturbing others.

Rememeber your sleepingbag and “outdoor mattress”.

Tents

At our base we also have a place if you like to bring your own tents. Here you have the opportunity of a really cheap accommodation, with free access to the showers and locker rooms. Our barbeque area can also be used freely, as long as we’re not serving pre-ordered customers there. Remember to bring your tent, sleeping bag and “outdoor mattress”.

Food and beverage

We strive to serve our customers good, homemade Norwegian food to an affordable price, where you can eat in a welcoming environment. Our meals are served in “Peisestua” from 1747, in the barbeque area, in the big lavvo or in the wilderness camp. Some of what we can offer is a good Norwegian breakfast buffét, lunch, dinner of the day, extended menus for groups, “spekemat” (meat preserved in the old Norwegian traditional way), a three-course barbeque and a lamb barbeque (whole). For those of you who are on the rafting daytrip there will be served a hot lunch plate with bread and salad, and if you travel with us two days in a roe, you will be served moose-stew the second day.

If you happen to be a vegetarian, have food allergies, coeliaki or other nutrition considerations, we’ll be able to fix something for you as long as you let us know well in advance. Since we have chosen not to have an alcohol licence, you must arrange alcoholic beverages yourself if you like that with your meals. Soda and mineral water is sold in the reseption.
